Since 2018, Art Paris has been supporting the French scene by asking an exhibition curator to turn a subjective, historical and critical eye on a selection of specific projects by French artists presented by participating galleries. This year, it will be the turn of independent exhibition curator Hervé Mikaeloff to share his perspective on the French scene as part of Art Paris 2021. Entitled Portraiture and figuration. A Focus on the French Scene, it will bring together some twenty artists .. continue reading around the theme of the portrait and the renewal of figurative painting in France. After being the first art fair worldwide to open its doors after lockdown restrictions ended, Art Paris will also be the first art fair to take up residence in the Grand Palais Éphémère on the Champ-de-Mars from 8 to 11 April 2021. This spectacular temporary structure fit for the twenty-first century designed by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte is located in front of the Ecole Militaire and aligned with the Eiffel Tower.
